What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Food?

Question: Food sometimes get stuck in the foodPipe for my mom. She has to vomit to take out the stuck food and then only she can eat further. She eels slightly choked as she cannot even swallow water to get the food down to her stomach. Is this some problem?

A gastroenterologist should evaluate her food pipe through an endoscope to see if she has esophageal web/rings, strictures or diverticuli where food can get stuck leading to difficulties.
