Hi, thanks for writing through HCM.
I have read your query, but I could not understand it properly. Do you mean that you are taking 60 mg vyvanse and it's effects are not long lasting and goes off by noon? or you are trying to decrease the dose but you have rebound anxiety and depression?
Vyvanse is available in formulation effect of which lasts for 14 hours. So clarify your question.
I am waiting for your reply.

Brief Answer:
Weaning off vyvanse is a difficult task
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for writing again.
Vyvanse is a stimulant medication and if you are taking it for months then your body must have became used to it, so when you stop it suddenly it will cause withdrawal symptoms. Weaning off vyvanse is a difficult task and you shall need supervision and guidance from your prescribing physician.
Withdrawal symptoms can be severe anxiety symptoms, fatigue, depressed mood or frequent mood swings, amotivation, difficulty in concentration, irritability, anger outbursts, headache etc.
The solution for these withdrawal symptoms is to taper the dose of vyvanse gradually. In my patient I would suggest to decrease the dose of vyvanse by 10 mg in a week so that you shall be off the drug by 6 to 7 weeks without facing severe withdrawal symptoms. Keep in mind that even with gradual taper there will be some withdrawal symptoms. You can achieve this by taking 60 mg for a week, then 50 mg for next week, then 40 mg next week and so on.
You can discuss this plan with your prescribing doctor and should ask for the treatment of remaining symptoms after stopping vyvanse.
Hope I have answered your query. If you do not have further query then close the discussion and rate the answer.
Wish you good health.
