What Causes Difficulty Swallowing?

Unlikley t be hernia!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this symptom. This cannot be hernia. Hernia manifests with food being returned to the mouth and not that you feel like it cannot be swallowed fully. This started just yesterday and it would be very premature for us to conclude that this is hernia with symptoms that are not very suggestive.
Hiccups are caused by irritation and when you throw up, the irritation stops. My advice is that you eat in small quantities. Take your time and chew probably before swallowing. If this sensation and symptoms persist, then getting evaluated by a specialist in the digestive tract would be necessary. I do not think we would get there but these symptoms would resolve spontaneously.
In all, unlikely to be hernia. Eat in small quantities and chew very well before swallowing. If symptoms last more than 3days, please let me know for further suggestions and recommendations. Have a calm ad relaxed mind set.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
