What Causes Digestive Issues And Migraine After Taking Dairy Products?
Question: I have a severe allergy to dairy products of any kind-digestive problems and migraine headaches. This summer my allergy level in my blood work is very high. I recently saw a pain mgmt. physician for osteoarthritis. He prescribed 100 mg. extended released diclofenac. I had taken 50 mg. of diclofenac in the past with no problems, but now I am having nausea and some diarrhea with this rx. I take OTC prilosec generic to see if it would help my stomach, but I am still nauseated. I research for inactive ingredients in my medicines and the diclofenac has lactose in it. I hate to stop taking it because I have severe pain in joints, esp. my neck and back due to a pinched nerve. Is there any medicines I can talk to the dr. about that don't contain lactose?
Brief Answer:
You can take aceclofenac.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Instead of diclofenac you should take aceclofenac.
Both are sharing same group, so effect is same.
It is not having lactose base in preparation. So it is safe in in you.
You can also take tramadol. It is centrally acting painkiller and safe in your case.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.

Thank you for your help. I will follow up with the pain mgmt. dr. I have seen him and explained my situation to him. I told him of my lactose intolerance but he must have thought there wasn't enough to be of any concern. I was born a redhead so I have been extremely sensitive to many things my entire life. Good goes with the not so good!
