What Causes Discolorations On The Finger Nails?

Question: My finger nail beds are half blue on each hand middle finger ring finger and pinky. My heart and lungs check out ok and my doctor doesn't seem to care. My hands are cold a lot. But even when they are warm it doesn't go away.
Brief Answer:
Please upload an image.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concern. I would insist you to upload an image of the nails. It will help me to make out whether there is a cause for concern.
I would insist you to get your thyroid profile checked and to upload the reports thereafter. Low thyroid levels could be the reason behind your cold hands.
I will wait for your response.

My thyroid is in range but not optimal. I will upload a photo
Brief Answer:
Not a cause for concern.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back and for uploading the images. I can see the bluish purplish discolouration of the nail beds but I would insist you not to bother, and there is nothing to be done about it anyway. You need not worry as it does not indicate anything bad.
Could you please specify your TSH level?
Regards
