What Causes Discomfort And Burning Sensation In Left Chest?
Question: Hi,
Last three days i am feeling discomfort in my left chest. Two days back i was feeling burning sensation, it was subsided once i start taking buttermilk and curd. Yesterday night i felt heavyness in my left chest, and this was happening only when i lie down, but there was no issue with breathing.
Three months back, i undergone stress as well echo tests. Everything was normal. I am 5'11" height, and weights 90kgs. My both bad and good cholesterol are within range. I dont smoke or drink. I recently stopped taking nonveg.
The day pain started, i lifted gas cylinder and was holding for sometime before keeping it back. Not sure whether this is causing the problem.
Can you please advise, what is the cause of the issue, do you recommend visiting doctor?

Brief Answer:
Looks muscular but cardiac cause need to ruled out
Detailed Answer:
looking at the overall picture it looks like muscular pain and less likely to cardiac. but however any such pain need to be proven that it is not cardiac. having normal reports makes cardiac issue less but not impossible. please have ECG and cardiologist or physician consultation. If necessary they may suggest enzymes or echo to be done now again.

Hello Doctor,
Thanks a lot for prompt response.
Today I consulted doctor. After ECG came as normal, he said this is due to Reflex Aerophagil. He prescribed Pan-D medicine for 2 weeks before breakfast. He also asked me to come down to his hospital to undergo Endoscopy.
Do you think the mentioned symptoms related to Reflex Aerophagil. Also please let me know the precautions to take care to avoid these kind of problems in future.
Last, do you advocate to go for Endoscopy?
Thanks
