Hello
Thanks for the query
It looks like you are suffering from urinary tract infection. You will need to be treated with antibiotics, here is how you should go about it
1. Give your urine for urine routine test and urine culture
2. I recommend you to start tab nitrofurantoin 100 mg twice a day after food for 5 days. Antibiotics will need changing once the culture report comes
3. Continue to drink plenty of water
4. Syp Citraalka will help bring down the burning
5. If you are sexually active then make sure to wash up after intercourse
Please approach your doctor for a prescription
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Thanks for the response.
Could you tell me what are the possible causes for UTI, so that I would try to prevent it.
Also let me know why those urine tests are needed.

1. Women are more prone to UTI and most often it is either due to periods, reduced water intake or improper hygiene. Women with diabetes have even higher risk. You can prevent it by following proper hygiene, drinking enough water and avoiding public toilets
2. Urine test is required to confirm urinary tract infection
