What Causes Discomfort Below Sternum And Flatulence?
Question: I am experiencing a discomfort right below my sternum, that sometimes feels like gas, and with it I feel light headed, and short of breath. My heart seems to pound and taking my pulse the beat slips out of rhythm. I am taking metoprolol (SP?) diagnosed by my Cardiologist after a couple anxiety attacks while be husband was dying. The meds seems to help by lately I began noticing this discomfort after eating and engaging in exercise and most mornings after drinking wine or an alcoholic beverage. . When I am stressed it seems to be more prominent. I eat a healthy diet with plenty of fiber. Could this be GERD or Reflux?
