Question: My chest feels uncomfortable when I exhale. I had pneumonia in August, since which I have wheezing and chest discomfort upon exhaling. I also cannot sing like I used to.

By your history and description, possibility of post infectious bronchitis is more.
And treatment of bronchitis is based on severity.
And severity is determined by PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) only.
So get done PFT.
Albuterol and beclomethasone. Both are short acting drugs.
For better symptomatic relief, newer longer acting inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone) are needed.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
