Question: If you have reviewed my other questions, there is a different situation now. My shoulder sort of catches like it is out of joint if I move it in certain way. I have full range of motion like my other shoulder it is painful after a day of work and it catches at times.

Brief Answer:
Rotator cuff tear likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The catching of the shoulder is likely to be due to a rotator cuff tear or shoulder impingement syndrome. It becomes more prominent in overhead movements.
You need to get an MRI scan done which is a more sensitive test for soft tissue and muscular problems. An Orthopedician is the best person to be consulted.
Here are some general treatment measures which you can follow:

1) Provide complete rest and avoid overhead activities.
2) Apply cold compresses and take some anti inflammatory pain killer after consulting your doctor.
I hope this answers your query.

Tear can have a full range of painful movment.

Detailed Answer:

A tear can present as a painful shoulder joint movement with a clicking sound. Shoulder impingement syndrome occurs when the tendons of the rotator cuff muscles become irritated and inflamed but are not torn.
