What Causes Discomfort Inside The Right Labia Minor Post Intercourse?

Question: I had unprotected sex twice with a man who was very large, right after i shaved my vagina and I was wet and dry on and off. I started my period withjn a day and wore pads and tampons for longer than i should have for a couple days because i didnt have any at work. I felt some discomfort inside my right labia minora that felt like a cut/burn. A single medium sized ulcer formed and hasnt healed. I am petrified i caught herpes but with so many variables and the fact that it was one sore/ulcer, didnt itch, i didnt feel feverish or badly prior to the ulcer i am not sure. It doesnt seem to follow the typical pattern of herpes that ive read. I also have very sensitive skin. Help!!

Hi dear and thanks for your query.

While you have had unprotected intercourse and this vaginal lesion is ulcer in fact herpes should be excluded.
As you may read genital herpes in fact are not as a single ulcer but as a multiple ulcers,but atypical pattern can be .
In my opinion there is nothing to worry because as it be a genital herpes ulcer and a simple one ,the process of healing last equally ,for some weeks.
To relive pain have Sitz baths with warm water adding Betadine (1 liter of water add 2 table spoon betadine) and take over the counter creams that contain antibiotics for fast healing.

I don't really understand what youre saying. Are you saying it IS or IS NOT herpes? Does it look like genital herpes? If not, what? I have very sensitive skin and it is not unusual that i get irritation after shaving. I also get irritation when i wear pads too long, trapping moisture for long periods of time. I bleed very heavily. I hust stopped my period yesterday and it seems to be healing now. But of course im very concerned. Could it be that having intercourse without lubrication could have rubbed the area raw and when i started my period and wore pads and tampons (i have to wear both at the same time i bleed so badly), that maybe it made the irritated area even worse. What does this look like? I cant tell if you think its herpes or not by what yo wrote. u

Hi dear and I'm sorry that you haven't get my massage.

I wrote above that it is a genital ulcer; but the cause of it we can't determine by seeing the affected area. Based on what I see, it doesn't seem as herpes infection because it is a single lesion while herpes is with multiple one,and for more you refer that you have sensible skin and have use tampons and pads for some days.

That being said, genital herpes can be excluded by doing herpes test. And on your condition you can do cell culture by taking by your doctor a sample from affected area.
