What Causes Dizziness After Eating Food?
Question: Hello, for the past 3 weeks I've noticed I become very dizzy after eating. It also happens shortly after I exercise. I've recently had a stress test done and my results were ok. I have reflux disease and have heartburn almost every day, treated with omeprazole . My doctor says its anxiety related. I was treated for labyrinitis for several months And it seemed to pass. I'm wondering what this problem could be? I also have high bloodpressure, treated with bisoprolol and irbesartan. I've had high blood pressure for at least 3 years. I am 37 years old and slightly overweight (1.5 stone)
Brief Answer:
Can be caused by blood pressure changes
Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,
Sometimes there is a fall in blood pressure after eating, which can cause dizziness, palpitations, sweating etc. I would advise you to eat with small portions and don't drink water with meal.
If you have high blood pressure as well, I would advise you measure for some period blood pressure regularly, it is possible there is a need for a correction of your medication, if there are some fluctuations.
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
