Question: i have been taking ultram for fibromyalgia,but it has been making me very dizzy. i started taking just plain ibuprofen. i need a over bthe counter drug that will help

Ibuprofen at non-prescription doses is heavily protein bound and not very strong at inflammation. Naproxyn doesn't have this problem. Aspirin works slightly differently from the other NSAIDS and might be worth trying for a day although it is generally considered to be a riskier drug with side effects than the others.

Muscle relaxants, amitryptiline, other nerve inhibitors are prescription only but often helpful.

Exercise and antidepressants are probably the most effective agents, however.
