What Causes Dizziness And Weakness After Having Ovagest And Goodova Plus?
Question: hello doctor,
My query is relating to pregnancy. Me and my wife are married for now 3 years and planning for a baby.
we conceived on 8th Dec 2014 , but she was not pregnant. As advised by local doctors (gynaecologists) he prescribed medicines namely Good Ova plus to take from the 3rd day of the period and from the 16th day onwards start Ovagest 200 for 10 days. As far as my baby planning is concerned, my wife's LMP was on 22nd nov 2014, after that we conceived but no results but the noticeable point is that her menstrual period started on 30th dec 2014 which was due between 20th to 22nd dec 2014 (30 days cycle), after that we went to local doctor (gyanecologists) and he prescribed those medicines mentioned above and suggested to conceive between 10th-16th XXXXXXX 15. As per advice we conceived on 14th XXXXXXX 15 and waiting for the results. At present my wife feels dizziness and very weak for the last 4 days from 17th XXXXXXX 2015. Is she expecting or any thing else or the effect of medicines.

In any regular cycle, there are 2 phases. I
n the first phase, some drugs may be given for ovulation induction.
This is usually given from day 2-6 once a day. The 2nd phase,includes drugs from day 16 once a day for 10 days. In your case, i supposed this is the protocol being followed.
If she were a patient in my clinical practice, then I would recommend tab fertyl super 100mg once a day from day 2-6 and tab duphaston 10mg once a day from day 16 for 10 days. Of course, please remember that medications like this need to be taken under the supervision a doctor and with a proper prescription.
The most fertile time in a regular cycle is between day 12-16. This is when you need to have sexual intercourse maximum number of times.
Having said this, unless she misses a period, and a pregnancy test is positive, its not possible to confirm pregnancy at such an early stage. Symptoms of pregnancy usually are seen after 6 weeks.Wait till a period is missed for more than a week and do a pregnancy test. Dizziness and weakness can also be pre-menstrual. If you dont get pregnant after 3 cycles of taking medicines, some tests,xrays follicular monitoring needs to be done.

The Good OVA is prescribed 2 tabs for 5 days from the third day of period and Ovsgest 200 2 tabs for 10 days 8am-8pm. kindly advice whether I should consult my gynaecologist or stop taking these medicines. Is it safe to take these medicines.

Well, never stop medicines in the middle. Always complete the course. So you should complete the course of the medicines since you have started it. The medicines I have named are stronger and have a higher power.
Right now since you are mid cycle just wait and see if you get a period. Then consult your doctor for a change of medicine.

Does it mean the doctor prescribed these medicines are powerful medicines ,but my wife she gets dizziness during day time, and one observation I noticed when she is under the sun for sometime dizziness starts. Is this a reaction of the medicines or it is just from taking high power medicines. Shall I consult the doctor before continuing the remaining doses. Kindly suggest .
