What Causes Dizziness, Confusion And Loss Of Appetite While On Atenolol, Lipitor And Celexa?

Question: I have been taking atenolol, losarton celexa and Lipitor daily prescribed to me ! Celexa has been added within the last two months. I have been feeling very light headed and at times like I am going to pass out.
I also take multiple vitamins. Plus at times I feel very confused. I have less of an appetite. Also I have been prescribed Xanax as needed! That seems to take away the anxiety! It seems that these side effects have started since I started taking celex. I was advised that the celex would take six to eight weeks. I am trying to give it a chance

Brief Answer:
you've got to determine the cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

first of all, you should try to determine the cause of your symptoms. Are you sure that this feeling is not caused by a low pulse rate for example? Or a low blood pressure? You can try stopping celexa for a couple of days to see what happens with the symptoms and restart it later. If the symptoms recur then celexa should be the cause.

So if you have ruled out all other possibilities and you're certain that celexa is causing all the troubles to you then perhaps your doctor should consider an alternative. After all it's supposed to make you feel better, not worse! Celexa and similar drugs do need some time to exert their full effect.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
