What Causes Dizziness In An Elderly Person While On Spiriva, Atenolol And Baby Aspirin?
Question: My 95 year old mother has been taking Spiriva daily in the morning since February. She also takes Atenolol 1/2 tablet daily & baby aspirin. Recently she told me that she is experiencing dizziness, and wanted to know if the prescription could be modified i.e. every 2 days. What do you think?

Otherwise you can consider missing some doses. I would suggest alternatives like ipratropium (despite being a more primitive option) or other similar drugs like aclidinium. Your doctor should be asked about it because an assessment of her pulmonary condition has to be done. A low oxygen saturation for example would make spiriva necessary.
You've got to make sure that her dizziness cannot be attributed to other causes like a slow heart rate (caused by atenolol) for example, a low blood pressure, etc.
