What Causes Dizziness, Split Vision And Flashes Of Light In Vision?
Question: I had split vision a couple of days ago - felt slightly dizzy and then found the images in each eye were not aligned. It only lasted about 20 seconds and has not occurred since. I suffer from cataracts which are not yet ready to be operated on and will be getting specs to wear daily soon. I am usually in very good health, take no meds, but recently my mother passed away after caring for her for over three years and in the immediate past have been helping my daughter get out of the clutches of an abusive partner. Today I had a migraine (second the for year) with the lightning flash and have a slight headache.

Hi Dr Dadapeer
Thank you for your quick response. The migraines do not necessarily worry me as you're right, I have had those since I was 19 yrs however they are increasing in frequency. I have never had the split vision before and am concerned they might be a symptom of a more serious disease, ie ms, brain tumour. After the episode on 2 March, my head felt tight.
