What Causes Dizziness, Weakness, Confusion And Severe Fatigue?

Question: Hello,
I have had extreme exhaustion for past 3-4 days. My BP usually runs pretty low. 90's/50-60's. It has been lower than normal and I am weak and very fatigued. When I stand, I feel like I am going to pass out. SOmetimes, just sitting there i feel that way. I do not even feel like walking in my house or outside, forget going anywhere. Could this be viral or something else. My husband says my vascular tone is low. I have had dizziness, weakness, confusion and just feel like crap. Is this something that I should go to the ER for, or wait to get in with my internest?

Brief Answer:
May be viral, but other causes should be ruled out by internist soon
Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,
this may be viral, but to be safe i would rule out other causes. In your case i would usually do a full body exam, and some blood work to check for anemia (iron, folic acid, vit b12), and thyroid hormone levels. Also i would do an ekg to check for basic heart function. Usually this should be ok to go with the internist if there is a close appointment available,
best regards
