What Causes Dizziness When I Stand Up?
Orthostatic hypotension, BPPV.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
In my opinion, two are main conditions that are necessary to be considered in your case:
1. Postural ( orthostatic ) hypotension, or lowering of blood pressure related to body position changes ( from laying to sitting or standing ).
2. Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
Discuss with your primary care Doctor about monitoring your blood pressure in different body positions and about tilt table test in order to evaluate orthostatic hypotension.
If no significant blood pressure changes, BPPV should be considered.
