What Causes Dizziness While On Candesartan?

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
I carefully passed through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to different causes:
- uncontrolled high blood pressure.
- chronic degenaration of the cervical spinal column, also called spondylarthrosis
- cervical arteries narrowing, which would lead to a low blood supply to the brain.
For this reason, I would recommend performing further tests to investigate for the possible underlying causes of your symptoms:
- a cervical spine X ray study
- a cervical arteries Doppler ultrasound to examine the blood flow in them
- blood lipid profile to detect possible dyslipidemia
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance
- some other blood lab tests (complete blood count for anemia, kidney and liver function tests, fasting glucose) to exclude other secondary causes of high blood pressure.
I would also recommend discussing with your doctor on making some changes to your actual antihypertensive therapy (increase the dose of Candesartan or add a calcium channel blocker like amlodipine) in order to have better control on your blood pressure.
Regarding Duloxetine, you should know that there is no interaction between this drug and candesartan. So it is safe to take them both concomitantly.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
