What Causes Dizziness While On Clozapine?
Question: hi doctor,
Pharmacist has given wrong tablet with name SIZOPIN 200 with composition as Clozapine Tablets IP. Even though doctor has written other tablet on the prescription.
and my mother age 51 years consumed one table and after 5 minutes of consuming she felt too much drowsy and slept and couldn't even talk like a coma patient and not able to take food also. She couldn't recovered from that drowsiness till 36 hours. We are very upset and scared of her condition for all 36 hours. Later we found that its a Pharmacist mistake that caused this condition.
I want to know what kind of side effects will it create because of consuming this wrong tablet of 1 dose

Sizopin contains clozapine which is a antipsychotic medication. It has many side effects but if started at high dose it can cause serious sedation as well as low blood pressure. The other side effects include excessive salivation, dryness of mouth, difficulty in urination and giddiness among others.
Some other side effects include seizures, low blood count among others.
Due to all these side effects the starting dose of clozapine is 25 mg per day or 12.5 mg per day.
