What Causes Dizziness While Standing?

I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to different causes:
- low blood pressure
- orthostatic intolerance
- inner ear disorder
- chronic anemia, etc..
Regarding the steroid shots, they do not usually cause such adverse effects. They can cause high blood pressure, stomach pain or flushing, but not low blood pressure and dizziness.
Have you measured your blood pressure values?
If your symptoms persist, I would recommend consulting with your doctor and performing further tests to investigate for the possible causes:
- complete blood count for anemia
- blood electrolytes
- kidney and liver function tests
- a Head Up Tilt test may be needed to exclude orthostatic intolerance, especially if your symptoms are exacerbated by standing up position.
Meanwhile, I recommend taking plenty of fluids to remain well hydrated and closely monitor your blood pressure values.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
