What Causes Dizziness While Suffering From Low BP?
Question: Hi, The past few days I have been having low blood pressure readings 95/55 average with extreme lightheadedness. I work in my gardens and walk a bit. I have mitral valve prolapse, thoracic ascending aorta aneurysm at 4.6cm,cardiac syndrome X( angina), fibromyalgia, degenerative disc, arthritis, acid reflux, dble knee replacement.
I am taking Protonix 40mg, aspirin 81mg, metoprolol, 12.5 mg, Losartan potassium 50mg, tramadol 50mg every six hours, meloxicam 15mg I daily, vitamin D 1.25 mg 2 times a week
My cardiologist wasn't in yesterday and I hate to go to the ER if I don't have to but this light headedness is bothersome Thank you

I understand your concern, and I would like to explain that your lightheadedness seems to be caused by arterial hypotension.
Coming to this point, I would recommend you to stop taking Losartan (until it will be possible for you to reach your attending cardiologist), as it is a direct antihypertensive medication.
Another drug that may have a questionable hypotensive effect is tramadol. It is accused of causing orthostatic hypotension and persistent low blood pressure.
Could you describe your recent hypotension profile:
Is it persistent? or
Is it exacerbated by standing up?
Whichever it be, I would advise to possibly reduce tramadol doses if it is not necessary (you are free of pain).
Meanwhile I recommend you to avoid excessive physical strain in the garden, avoid walking for long distances, especially under warm conditions (sunny hot days, high temperature) and take plenty of water and juices, for an optimal hydration.
If your complaints keep persisting again, I would recommend to consult with the ER doctor, for an immediate medical checkup ( physical examination, resting ECG, eventual additional imaging tests, like cardiac ultrasound, chest x ray, etc.), until you consult with your cardiologist.

I will not take the losartan this evening and see if there is a difference. It was the Nurse practitioner who added that because my blood pressure at a time was getting higher than normal for me but that certainly isn't the case right now.
If my BP gets lower I will certainly go to the ER but other wise will wait until Monday to call my cardiologist.
