Brief Answer:
Could have multiple causes - best to go in for an evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

I am sorry you are not feeling like your usual self. Dizziness with nausea, and light headedness can be caused by a number of problems. Given that this is a new symptom for you, and has continued without decreasing for a week, I would advise that you go in to your doctor in person for evaluation of this.

In the office, ask the nurse to take "orthostatic blood pressures and pulse". This will show if there is a significant drop in blood pressure (and compensatory rise in pulse) when going from supine (lying on your back) to standing. If the nurse is unsure or rusty on doing this, here is a pdf of how it is done: XXXX

There are many causes for light headedness - everything from low grade viral infections, anemia, cardiac causes, etc.

Dizziness, where the room is spinning, is usually a separate problem. The most common cause of vertigo is that the deposits in the inner ear get in the wrong place, and when you turn your head to that side it sets the room spinning (Benign Positional/Paroxysmal Vertigo). Treatment for this is certain maneuvers with the head to get those deposits back where they should be.

If you are interested in reading more about both lightheadedness and dizziness, and what sorts of exams/tests are appropriate, here is a good article that you might find useful: XXXX

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
