What Causes Double Pneumonia, Fever, Violent Cough And Painful Numbness In Limbs?

Question: Have double pneumonia. Diagnosed 9 days ago, did 5 day dose of azithromycin. I had low fevers yesterday and today my cough is so violent I'm almost throwing up. During one coughing spell the front of my neck started to hurt and my arms and hands became numb and very tingling. I felt as if someone was strangling me. Do I need to be concerned? Should I go to my doctor?

Brief Answer:
Yes, you should definitely consult doctor and get done chest x ray.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion, you should consult doctor and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and chest x ray.
You have already completed 5 days of azithromycin and still you are symptomatic, so possibility of worsening of pneumonia or post infectious bronchitis is more.
So better to get done chest x ray first to rule out worsening of pneumonia.
If chest x ray is normal than get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis.
You may need higher antibiotics, inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
