Question: 71 year old male with parkinsons disease..keratonconus eye condition and poor eyesight...had cataract surgery one week ago and is now seeing double in operated eye only when looking down.

Brief Answer: Swelling could be the reason Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank for your query. Swelling of the structures anchoring the eye ball post surgery is one of the common cause for such a complication. It is reversible, once the inflammation reduces which my take 2 to 3 weeks then the double vision may disappear. It may also be a side effect of the retrobulbar anaesthesia given at the time of surgery. It is also reversible. Regards,
