What Causes Dribbling Of Urine After Emptying Bladder?

Question: Hi Doctor,

I have been experiencing two to three drops of urine discharge or (Colorless liquid) after taking leak from past one month or rather the control of urine after i take a leak has reduced.
What is the remedy??

Hi,

OK... so apparently, after I urinate , I feel there is two or three drops that discharges after I zip up.
this was not something I used to observe before.
This is only after I urinate.
I hope that is clear.

So how can I control, by not having that discharge after I urinate???

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have dribbling of few drops of urine after urination.

This is mostly due to irritation of trigone of the urinary bladder which initiates involuntary contractions (spasm) of the Bladder,

Please get your routine urine test done to rule out infection.

In absence of any other urinary symptoms particularly due to UTI ,you need not worry about it .

This can be cured by taking urinary antispasmodics like Oxybutinine or Flavoxate twice daily for a week .

I have not started with the medication.
Two reasons.
1. Thought I will take the urine test first.
2. I have been taking sotret tablets for acne as prescribed by the dermatologist. its my last day of the course.

So should I start with the medication along with sotret, in case my dermatologist asks to continue the course.?

What is the cause of overflow incontinence???
