What Causes Dry Curly Hair After Applying Castor Oil And Mayonnaise On Hair?
Question: I applied castor oil and mayonnaise on my hair and now my hair has become thin and curly,previously it was thick and straight.l also have dry scalp problem and my hairdresser did a treatment after which my scalp became clean but still fungus is affecting my scalp.my doctor told me to use x gain shampoo and serum but the serum made it thin and curly.what do i do?

Dry curly hair can happen due to effect of oil and mayonaise. It will outgrow in some time.

How is your hair fall pattern?
is it more on front side and Crown area?
If it is like that then it is most likely due to male pattern hair loss or androgenetic alopecia. For this minoxidil 2 % solution application is the FDA approved treatment. This should be used for long term to get the benefits. Using ketoconazole shampoo weekly twice along with this is also helpful. You can also take vitamin supplements for hair growth like biotin , B complex, folic acid.
Other conditions which cause hair loss like anemia or hypothyroidism should be ruled out also. You can check TSH and hemoglobin level in blood for this.
A consultation with a dermatologist is well appreciated if there is no improvement with over the counter shampoos.

i have consulted 2 dermatologist one said to apply xgain shampoo and serum the other said to apply anaphase shampoo eat beplex forte,t flucon t dicaris.i have no idea if the serum is good or not
