What Causes Dry Mouth?

default
Posted on Fri, 21 Oct 2016
Question: What makes ALL the mucus membranes totally DRY in my mouth? This has been going on for about 8 weeks now. Even my tongue mucus membranes are terribly DRY. This is painful. I don't have any mouth sores. I have no idea what the problem is. Not even a guess. Can you please help me?
Thanks, XXXX.

Brief Answer:
Side effects of your drugs! Advair Discus and many others!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

I have reviewed your information fully. This is certainly a side effect of your medications with Advair Discus being the main culprit. Discuss this with your doctor and see whether he might want to switch this medication around.

For now, sip water as often as possible. Also, fruits would be helpful. However, a permanent solution can only come from your medications review.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and details if need be.
