What Causes Dry Scaly Patches On The Forehead?
My first possibility is seborrheic dermatitis. Second is psoriasis
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I have seen the images. You have dry scaly patches mainly on forehead and few on nose and along anterior hair line. I would rather keep a first possibility of seborrheic dermatitis. My second possibility is psoriasis. Treatment for both these conditions affecting scalp and face is more or less the same. Psoriasis infact is not so common on face.
The distribution of lesions i.e on scalp, behind ear, forehead, glabella and on sides of face is rather more suggestive of seborrheic dermatitis. My second possibility is that of psoriasis considering that psoriasis is less common on face. However treatment for both these conditions is more or less the same.
Do you have similar patches elsewhere on body? If yes then I would consider psoriasis.

I get 1-3 patches/month on random areas of my body, I have uploaded images of a current patch I found on my upper arm. It is about 0.6mm in diameter, dry skin buildup which turns pink when I apply a cream.
Apart from treating the current patches, is it possible to prevent more from ocurring?
Thank you very much for your kind patience,
XXXX
Can just treat existing patches
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Apart from treating the existing patches with topical creams/ointments there is nothing you can do to prevent future patches. For patches on body (other than face) you may use Dipsalic F ointment. Topical treatment is sufficient for just a few patches such as yours.
