What Causes Dry Skin Patch After Vigorous Sex?
Question: I was diagnosed with this last week. Is it normal when healing for the skin to become very dry (large dry patch) and seems like it can crack? Is this the healing process?
How long should I expect this to continue?

Thanks for your query,based on the photograph and facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed infection of the glans penis and coronal sulcus due to dry rough vigorous sex .
You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexine and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.
Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily
Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.
Hope this will get cured within a week.

But as far as my opinion is concerned, dry patch of skin that developed shortly after vigorous sex / masturbation will heal without troubles. The only impeding factors are:
1. Secondary contamination with bacterial pathogens. It would be worthwhile to use antibiotics as suggested by the doctor. It prevents infection and thus improves healing process.
2. High blood sugar and diabetes. As this seems like a recurring concern, it would be worthwhile to get your sugars checked.
I understand you are concerned. But don't worry. You can apply some good moisturizers and visit a local doctor for a prescription.
