What Causes Dry Throat When Diagnosed With Strep Throat?

Question: I had strep throat in May of this year. I was prescribed Omnisef. After about two days, my face swelled up and my mouth immediately became raw. I stopped taking it immediately. My face returned to normal size, however my mouth & tongue is still raw and my tongue feels swollen all the time. I want you to know that I have had dry mouth for many years do to my daily 150 mg of Amitryptaline for migraines. I really need some releave with my mouth because i can barely eat. Help
