Brief Answer:
MRI of region will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

After going through your query I concluded that you are having pain in left shoulder and upper chest region which is dull aching type. You are having a skin deep hard movable lump firm but not rock solid painful to press on makes hand go numb.

By your description it seem to be neuroma of any of three nerves supplying the hand crossing the scapular and shoulder region. Second possibility is any of benign swelling such as lipoma pressing the nerves. It can be differentiated further by its MRI.

Analgesic such as ibuprofen can be taken for pain relief .Mecobalamine is of help in reducing numbness.

I want to know more to understand better. Please tell me about following:-

1.Entire hand became numb on pressing lump or some of fingers ? What type of pain you feel when you press on it?
2.What is exact size and location of lump?
3.Whether shoulder movements are effected?

You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
