Brief Answer:
musculoskeletal cause or viral bronchitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain you're experiencing in your collar bone I think this is most likely a musculoskeletal issue. The most common cause of this type of pain is a minor bruise or viral bronchitis. This could occur with even minor trauma what you might not remember in the recent past. The pain generally will slowly improve over a period of about two weeks.

Another possibility could be inflammation of muscles. This also generally resolves within a couple weeks. Sometimes we give medication such as ibuprofen to address the inflammatory process. If you're interested you could try taking two tablets of ibuprofen three times a day for the next five days to see if this makes any kind of significant difference.

I hope this answers your query.

I have been away from home on night shift 7pm-7am for going on 2 1/2 weeks now. Being the supervisor on nights I have trouble staying up the whole time so I have been drinking Full Throttle energy drinks. One at the beginning of shift and the second one finishing lunch 1am that has been going on every day. Also last week was a highly stressful week. The day of the 21st I came to work and was up for a 28 hour period. Just wanting to inform you of that incase it were to change anything.

Brief Answer:
Can eb due to stress.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The stress and anxiety associated with your work schedule is likely to aggravate the muscle pain. Taking a muscle relaxant and a hot compress with adequate rest will help in improving the pain.
Hope my answer is helpful.
