What Causes Electric Shock-like Tightness Headache When Diagnosed With Vascular Lesion?

Question: Dear Dr. Spaho,

Thank you SO much for your help! I appreciate it so much. The only thing I may have forgotten to tell you is the neurosurgeon said he would not operate on me because of the location. I asked a couple more questions, and he said he would have to go in through my mouth. That tells me about the location of the problem. The initial thing he said was he would not operate on me because he could cause me a stroke.

I am better prepared now that I know the things you have told me. I will stop asking you questions now. If you would like me to follow up with you after I know much more, I will, of course.

If you would like me to close the session, I will do try to do so. Just reply and tell me.

Thank you again,
doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello again XXXXXXX

You can ask as many questions as you want, don't worry about this.

The operation your Neurosurgeon mentioned was intended to treat your cervical spine issues, or for treatment of your probable vascular lesion?

Awaiting for more information.....

Hello Dr. Spaho,

It concerned the lesion the neurosurgeon discovered in the brain stem area after reviewing all of the MRIs. This is the reason I am having a CT with contrast next week. I called his office back shortly after his visit, and I asked if it could be moved forward after I saw him because of my own anxiety. His nurse returned the call after talking with him. He said he wanted to give me time on the medication gabapentin for the headaches to improve which I have described "like an electric shock that stops you in your tracks but not long lasting" to improve. I have improved on the medication, but have had a few headaches like that recently. (I was having them daily when I saw him.) I believe he wants to give me time to stabilize as well, and I think he is attempting to treat the symptoms of what the problem is causing to the nerve nearby. It may be that is all that can be done. We will see...
My server is trying to solve the problems they are having. I still cannot see my email at the old site. Hopefully, later today it will work normally. I'm waiting for a text mail to tell me I can see my email. I cannot find a way to change it here on this site.
Thank you once again for your concern and help. XXXXXXX
Hello,

Brief Answer:
Follow up.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again XXXXXXX

The possible surgical approaches should be clear after the correct diagnosis of the vascular lesion.

If surgery is impossible, endovascular treatment using arterioghraphy is one possibility.

Let's wait for the correct diagnosis first.

Greetings.
