Hello
Thanks for query .
Your PSA done very recently is reported to be 1.8 which was 1.2 before 18 months .Normal range of PSA in a healthy man ranges from 1 to 4 .The slight increase form 1.2 to 1.8 is considered to be a normal variation and has no significance at all.
Neither you need to anything nor there is anything to be worried about .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

According to data that I've seen, , at this level of psa, there might be a reason to be concerned if the velocity is greater than .35 per year. If I was to retest, when would you recommend that I do it? Or, should I not be at all concerned and just test in 12 months?
Brief Answer:
You need not have to worry at all .
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .
Slight rise in PSA can be due to mild infection of the prostate and as I have stated earlier has no significance at all as long as it is below 4 .
You may repeat it after 12 months .
Thanks and Regards.
