Question: good morning, for the past few months my white blood cell count has been elevated. my dr gave me augmentin and said it was my ears but my ears didnt hurt. once i finished the antibiotic it was a 10.7. 6 days later its back up to 13.7. attached is my most recent blood work done last week im trying to figure out what could be the reason it jumps back up. lately i havent been feeling "normal" my body feels like its freezing but my temp is normal. my hands and feet stay sweaty even though theyre ice cold when i touch them. i have been getting headaches, ct scan showed normal for head. ct scan showed normal for admonial (checking to make sure it wasnt appendix) ive had my gallbladder removed in 2012. im 24 white femal. 5'5 220lbs i have been living in an apartment that had black mold in it. i have moved out for 2 weeks now.

Brief Answer:
It could be due to subclinical infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the report.
Raised white blood cell count could be due to subclinical infection.
Infection couldbe in the Urinary tract, Gastro intestinal tract, lungs etc.
In my opinion, you should take a broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefuroxime tablet instead of Augumentin.I also recommend a Anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
Most common cause of headache is Tension. Please be relaxed .Practise Yoga and meditation. If headache still persists, add paracetamol tablet. If paracetamol is included in anti inflammatory tablet combination, no need for another paracetamol tablet.
HopeI answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
