What Causes Elevated Bilirubin And ALP Levels?
Question: I recently took a Amylase Lypase Total & LFT test . Everything was normal but these 3 were exceeding
1. Bilurubin Total - 1.25 mg/dl Normal range: 0.3 - 1.2 mg/dl
2. Bilurubin Indirect - 1.11 mg/dl Normal Range : 0.2 - 0.7 mg/dl
3. ALKALINE PHOSPHATE (ALP) - 103 IU/L Normal Range: 32 - 91 IU/L
Is it a big problem or it can be solved

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1. Your bilirubin level and ALP are slightly elevated. It may be related with :
- Gilbert's syndrome ( congenital hyperbilirubinemia)
- drugs side effects ( I ned to know your current treatment)
- biliary ducts issues ( rarely)
2. If I were your treating doctor I would suggest doing an abdominal ultrasound to better evaluate the biliary tree and hepatic structure.
Meantime there is no need for treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

Hi,
Gilbert's syndrome is a benign condition and there is no big issues.
It is no need for treatment.
With regards to "wellman" it is not known to have similar side effects.
I would suggest repeating these exams after 4 weeks.
Hope I have answered your query.
