Brief Answer:
Drink nettle tea twice daily
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
After hearing your history since you are having CLL in remission and now your creatinine has increased to 142 from 116 inspite of drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water i would advise you to add two to three teaspoons of dried nettle leaves to a cup of hot water
Let it steep for 10 minutes. Strain and drink it. Drink this nettle tea once or twice daily. It will bring your creatinine level down. Also, I would advise you to repeat the blood for serum creatinine test after 1 month. If it is a laboratory error then the repeat test will show creatinine as normal

Brief Answer:
Drink cranberry juice
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
GFR can be reduced by drinking plenty of water at least 2.5 liters to 3 liters per day
As you are drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water see that the total amount of water you drink becomes at least 3 liters per day
Also you can drink plenty of cranberry juice.
It is good for the kidney and cleans your total urinary tract system

GFR 49 how bad is that for a 73 yr old? Thank You For Your answers I appreciate it Just can' t figure how it went that low always been 60 went to 55 then 53 last Month 60
Brief Answer:
Eat more vegetables and less meat
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Normal levels of GFR range from 90 to 120 mL/min. Your GFR of 49 is low. Older people will have lower than normal GFR levels because GFR decreases with age.
I would advise you to eat more vegetables and less meat, try low salt diet, consume less potassium, exercise regularly and manage your weight to increase your GFR levels.
