Brief Answer:
can be used but dose adjusted

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Most medications have one or more contraindications. These are circumstances in which the medication can be used.

Benicar HCT is contraindicated in : (1) persons with a history of allergic reaction to one of more components of the drug
(2)persons with significantly decreased urine output or sensitive to drugs with sulfonamides

In kidney disease, the level of the benicar can increase when compared to those with normal kidney function. This is the reason that the dose is sometimes reduced to prevent high levels.
This means that it can be used but the benicar dose can be decreased to prevent build up.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
