What Causes Elevated Iron Levels?

Question: Many of my daughter's numbers are borderline, some are high and some are low. Some are high such as iron but then the iron binding do not make sense. I have put together a spreadsheet with dates that show many things such as the hematocrit and hemoglobin rising. (her c reactive protein and a few numbers got better from sept 4 to october 6/8 as she was receiving iv twice a week for a few weeks that helped that as well as a few other things) Are there anything at all that you can see in this? We have so many symptoms and more data - but this is a basic piece of a puzzle.
Brief Answer:
Reports are mostly normal. Recovered.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.
Looking at the query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Iron value increases during infection - its normal.
2. TIBC is within normal limits.
3. Reducing C reactive protein indicates improving infection
4. There is nothing abnormal, that I can notice except for the genetic test showing possible high risk.
5. A low ESR and <3 CRP indicates no inflammation and hardly any ongoing injury/insult to any tissue.
6. Based on these values, I can say, she is alright.
If you any specific queries, I can try to help you better.
Any further queries, happy to help you again.
