Question: I am a 41 year old female for past few days have empty stomach feeling even after eating along with a feeling of lightheadness Have has endoscopy acid reflux and very small ulcer found my question is can acid reflux cause nausea lightheadness and empty stomach feeling or should I be concerned about the small ulcer found
Brief Answer:

Hello and welcome,
An empty stomach feeling and nausea can be caused by the gastritis/ulcer you have. GERD would not typically cause an empty stomach feeling but can make a person feel nauseated.
Light headedness is a more non-specific symptom and can be associated with so many things. If it started after starting a new medication, it might be due to that. If the light headedness is a new symptom though, I recommend you go in to your doctor to make sure your blood pressure is responding when you get up (they can check something called orthostatic pulse and blood pressure by checking it when you are lying down, seated, and stand up).
I hope this information helps.

Thanks for the timely response should I be worried about my ulcer getting worse / flaring even though I am on medication or should this clear itself in a few days also I ha e been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder could the feeling of lightheaded be associated with the odd stomach sensations triggering anxiety
Brief Answer:
Thoughts on this
Detailed Answer:
The Prilosec should take care of the ulcer, but some people get side effects from the medication, so if you think you have new symptoms which are getting worse since you started the Prilosec, then talk with your doctor about trying something else. PPIs such as Prilosec tend to be more effective than H2 blockers such as Zantac 300 mg, but if you are having new symptoms since starting the PPI, it could be from that.
Assuming you are on no other medications (such as NSAIDs like ibuprofen, or corticosteroids), you likely aren't at risk for your ulcer getting bigger and the Prilosec should help it heal.
Anxiety can cause light headedness. If you have had light headedness during periods of anxiety before, that may be what is going on.

Last question I promise! My endoscopy results stated evidence of chronic gastritis which my gastro was not at all concerned with could chronic gastritis produce symptoms at times of stress in other words could chronic gastritis cause nausea and empty feeling in stomach
Brief Answer:
Thoughts on this
Detailed Answer:
Yes, an empty feeling or gnawing feeling in the stomach can go with gastritis. Some people have nausea with gastritis and stomach ulcers.
The relationship of anxiety or stress as a factor in causing peptic ulcer disease has been disputed over the years, but there does seem to be an association. Here is an article about that:

If you have chronic gastritis and a stomach ulcer, have you been tested for helicobacter pylori?
Also, are you getting help (meds and/or counseling) for the anxiety?

I am currently trying acupuncture for anxiety have been on various meds in the past which had side effects I know that tissue was biopsied during my procedure would the biopsy show an h pylori infection and also can symptoms of chronic gastritis come and go
Brief Answer:
Thoughts on this
Detailed Answer:
Yes, an endoscopic biopsy should show the presence of h. pylori. But it would be worthwhile to call the GI doctor's office and ask if it was looked for on the pathology report as sometimes information like this can slip through the cracks.
Yes, symptoms of chronic gastritis and come and go. There may be some healing and symptoms resolve and then return. I also recommend asking the GI doctor what he/she thinks is the cause of your gastritis being persistent (chronic).
