Brief Answer:
fenestration, recession, scaling and root planing

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.

As far as the big root is concerned I have two possibulities.
It can be a fenestration secondary to gum infection with loss of bone.
The second possibility is it can be a recessed gum that has exposed roots.
Consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. You need to take a radiograph like IOPAR to rule out tooth infection.

Its difficult to come to a final diagnosis based on your description of the lesion. If you can upload the images of the tooth i can give the exact diagnosis and treatment plan.

Doxycycline will work if it is gum infection. The usual dose is 100mg twice daily on the first day and once daily for next 4 days. But it is temporary solution, we need to treat the cause. Thus see a dentist to check if it is really needed.

For fenestartion and recession, you need to get your teeth cleaned (scaling and root planing) and if required bone grafting can be done.

I hope my answer will help you, take care.
