What Causes Enlarged Spleen?
Question: I have XXXXXXX syndrome and also an enlarged spleen. Are these both related? Do I need to go for treatment. Both diagnosed some 20 years back.

Gilbert's syndrome or constitutional hepatic dysfunction is characterized by nonhemolytic jaundice as a result of an inherited gene mutation. It may be characterized by both liver and spleen enlargement. These two are related. Unless there are other complications nothing needs to be done about it.
