What Causes Episodes Of Dizziness And Fainting?
Passing out.
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
though I agree that an EEG is a good test to do, I doubt it will show you anything. This story does not sound like that of a patient with epilepsy. The next thing I would look at is her cardiovascular system. It would be a good idea to have her seen by a pediatric cardiologist to determine if there is a cardiac cause for the lightheadedness and dizziness. Sometimes it can be a very very minor cardiac problem that ultimately resolves on its own that can be the cause. Keep in mind, that the most common cause of lightheadedness and dizziness and even passing out in pediatrics, is dehydration. While tests are being done, make sure she is maintaining appropriate hydration. Push the fluids. I don't believe there is anything to be overly concerned about. As I've said I believe the EEG will be normal. Then you and your daughter and your doctor can take it from there.
