Posted on Tue, 16 Aug 2016
Question: I had a tudiplast graft surgery to correct Peyronies on May 12 2016??? not sure if thats how its spelled, I was not tested with any erection inducing drugs or told any options prior to the surgery, well it has now been almost 3 months, the graft feels like a hard plastic patch has replaced the Plaque, I am unable to get anything even close to an erection, I never had ED... EVER... Today I was told I may need shots to re-train my member???

E. D.is a known complication of graft surgery for Peyronies Disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query You have undergone graft surgery for Peyronies Disease 3 months back and since then unable to get erection (ED) which was normal before the surgery

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) What was the degree of curvature before surgery ?
2) Were you able to perform penetrative intra vaginal sex ?
3) Do you know what was the source of a graft ?whether it was Dermis form your own skin or a synthetic material ?

Erectile dysfunction is one of the known complication of graft surgery for Peyronies disease which results from the damage to the erectile tissue during surgery .

Unfortunately it does not respond well to neither to drugs nor to Radiotherapy .

The only best treatment option is to put Penile Implant so that you can have enjoyable sexual life and satisfy your partner .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.

I was told the Graft was cadaver, the degree of curvature was 60 -70 I think? I was never told, and an erection was never chemically induced by the Dr prior to surgery, I was able to have penetrative vaginal sex but the bend made it somewhat difficult, I was told yesterday by another Dr that he wants to do penis injection therapy so my body can re-learn?

Brief Answer:
Injection in penis will not work now.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

Peyronies disease involves only Tunica Albugenia a sheath that envelopes corporeal bodies and not the erectile tissue and you were having normal erectile function before surgery may be the reason for not doing Color Doppler Scan of Penis before surgery .

Injecting (Xiaplex ) is tried in Peyronies disease and it is to be given in plaque but since the plaque is already removed it will not work for you .

Thanks and Regards.
