What Causes Excessive Crying During Urination In An Infant?
Question: I have twin babies who are 7 weeks old and they cry before they pass urine...what is te teason for the same...
Brief Answer:
This is a normal phenomenon - please do not worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi..... bladder sensation which we adults feel with full urine is perceived by newborns of this age as abnormal sensation. So at this age the only way of expression the babies will have is crying. It does not mean that they have pain while passing urine. Once the baby passes urine, immediately they will stop crying as the bladder fullness sensation will be relieved. This is a physiological phenomena and do not worry about this. Once the baby's brain learns that this is fullness of bladder sensation the babies will stop crying.
