What Causes Excessive Crying In A Child?

Suddenly my 20 days old baby girl is crying a lot. She is feeding every 30min and passing light yellow motion. As of bow she is in breast milk and sometimes formula milk.
Do we need to do something or is this normal?
Thanks,
Need more details
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
I need more details to be better able to help you.
From the details you have provided, it seems that she is not taking enough feed at a time. The baby has to feed from both breasts at every feed. The breast should completely empty every time. If the baby sleeps during feeding, please wake her up so that she completes the feed.
Light yellow motions are ok for breast fed babies. They tend to pass motions even upto 12 times a day, which is also normal. They do tend to feed after they have passed motion or urine. Breast milk is best for babies.
Along with details of any other symptoms, I would like to know how you prepare the formula and which formula you are using. Some ingredients in formula may not suit the baby.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Make formula in cleaner water
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
From your followup it seems that baby is normal and has no other symptoms. I suggest the following to avoid excessive crying:
- Make sure that the baby is not wearing excessive clothes. The babies ideally wear just one extra layer XXXXXXX adults for the given room temperature
-use cleaner water (like RO filtered water) to make formula. Avoid the filters that use candles of chlorine.
-Burping of babies is needed after feeds.
-Handling of baby should be correct by giving neck support alongwith supporting back
- Keep the baby skin dry. Clean appropriately after urine and stools. Female babies are cleaned from front to back.
Hope it helps. If still the crying does not stop, get the baby examined by a pediatrician for ear or urine infection.
