What Causes Excessive Foul Smelling Saliva Secretion?
Lets try and discover what is causing this and address accordingly...
Detailed Answer:
Hello There, thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.
Now from what I have understood of your query, the following should be true. please correct me if I get any of the details incorrect.
1) In the mornings you wake up feeling that you have excess saliva in the mouth.
2) You feel you have very bad breath throughout the day. But it is worst in the afternoon.
3) This has been going on since childhood.
Before I can really address this issue in detail. I would like to know a few things about you and your habits if you don't mind:
1) How often do you brush your teeth?
2) When was the last time you had a dental checkup?
3) Do you have any sinus problems or nasal (Nose) issues?
4) Are you allergic to anything in the air (for instance Pollen Allergies)
5) What kind of diet do you follow?
6) Do you smoke?
If you can answer these queries for me, it would go a long way toward helping me understand the cause for your bad breath issues.
In the medical world, we have a term for this called Halitosis. There are many many causes, what I will try to do for you here is discuss the most common causes of Halitosis and give you a step by step plan on how to deal with it.
The most common cause of Halitosis is Poor Dental Hygiene, that means poor tooth brushing techniques etc. I encourage you to talk to a dentist about proper brushing habits and I encourage you to start flossing as well. These will clear all the old food and decaying material from between your teeth.
After that, the SECOND most common cause of Halistosis are Gum infections. The technical term for this is peridontal gum disease. Again, a good dentist would diagnose this for you.
Thirdly, Sinus or respiratory tract infections are a possibility. Do you have sinus issues? Do you have chronic cough? If you do, then you might need to see an Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor and have these issues managed first before the breath can be addressed.
Lastly things like eating Garlic, onions, coffee, cigarette smoking and chewing tobacco can all lead to chronic bad breath, if you use any of these things, try and cut them out or at least cut them down to address the issue.
So to summarize. I would suggest you first address your dental hygiene by brushing regularly and properly.
Consult a dentist to rule out gum disease.
If you have sinus or nasal issues or infections, consult an ENT doctor and have that dealt with.
Finally try and stop using the common items I listed that can cause bad breath.
I look forward to your response. I do hope I have helped you understand what needs to be done here. I look forward to your response.

A course of Acid Blocking Medication may help your Gastric issues.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Thanks for answering my questions. It has helped me formulate a plan of action which I think you may benefit from.
I believe you will need to address this Halitosis issue in multiple ways to cure it.
Please attempt most if not all of the following suggestions for at least 15 days and see what benefit you gain from it.
1) Hydrate: Drink at least 2 liters of water per day, plain, filtered water. Stay away from Soda and Juice as much as you can. The sugar content in these drinks will worsen your gastric issues (which I will refer to as APD.. Acid Peptic Disorder).
2) Increase Vegetable and Fiber Intake: Do your best to have at least one portion of green vegetables with every meal or a dose of Isbagol (Cremadiet) once per night.
This will decrease the stomachs stimulus to produce acid.
3) Decrease Spice and Salty food intake to the minimum: I understand you enjoy spicy food. But try to minimize it to maybe one meal a day. Not more than that. These spices and salt will stimulate the stomach, increase acid production and worsen your APD (Gastric Discomfort).
4) Begin a course of Acid Blockers: Talk to your local pharmacist and purchase the following OTC (Over the Counter) Medications:
A. Tablet Omeprazole 20mg H.S. (once before bed) for 2 weeks (14 days)
B. Tablet Cetrizine 5mg H.S. for 2 weeks (Before sleep) for 2 weeks.
Omeprazole should decrease your acid production and APD issues, while Cetrizine would mask any allergies you may suffer from and dry up your oral secretions a bit.
Cetrizine is known to cause much sleepiness (drowsiness). Please take it only when you are sure you will be able to get at least 6 hours sleep. It should never be taken before driving a vehicle or handling sharp objects.
5) Maintain PERFECT Oral Hygiene: Visit your Dentist at the earliest and have your teeth cleaned. Have them provide you a new toothbrush and instructions on how to use it. At the same time, have the Dentist rule out any Gum Infections.
Try the aforementioned recommendations for the next 2 weeks and then we will revisit the issue.
