What Causes Excessive Head Sweating?

Craniofacial Hyperhidrosis
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
I am sorry you are suffering from this problem.
First may I ask:
Has the estrogen that you started recently made any difference in either improvement or worsening?
And did you have this problem prior to going thru menopause?
Does it coincide with hot flashes?
Are you on any other medications?
The first thing to do is see your doctor to make sure there isn't any underlying health problem that could be causing it. A wide variety of medical problems can cause excessive sweating including diabetes and thyroid disease.
If medications and medical problems have been ruled out, then you might have "primary hyperhidrosis". There is treatment for this.
The first thing that is usually tried is an antiperspirant. This can be either one that is bought without prescription, or a stronger version sold by prescription. As you know, antiperspirants can be irritating. But this is just one option. Here is information about how best to use an antiperspirant: XXXX
Botox can also be used but you will need to find someone skilled at it's use.
After seeing your primary doctor to rule out medical causes, you would do best to go to a dermatologist who can help you further if this is primary hyperhidrosis.
